Cannabis sativa L. Cannabis indica Lam. (putative) Cannabis ruderalis Janisch. (putative)

Cannabis Museum in Amsterdam

Cannabis (Cán-na-bis) is a genus of flowering plants that includes three putative species, Cannabis sativa L., Cannabis indica Lam., and Cannabis ruderalis Janisch. These three taxa are indigenous to Central Asia, South Asia, and surrounding regions. Cannabis has long been used for fibre (hemp), for medicinal purposes, and as a recreational drug. Industrial hemp products are made from Cannabis plants selected to produce an abundance of fiber and minimal levels of THC (Δ- tetrahydrocannabinol), a psychoactive molecule that produces the "high" associated with marijuana. The psychoactive consists of dried flowers and leaves of plants selected to produce high levels of THC, though there is no significant evidence of extremely high levels of THC. Various extracts including hashish and hash oil are also produced from the plant.

What effect will the new classification of Cannabis to class 'B'have on people smoking it?
Q. Cannot understand why the movers and shakers of Westminster are up grading cannabis again. All this will do is create more paper work and waste of time when the drug itself is as close to being legal as it is possible to be,any ideas?

I have been getting headaches too. I just want to ask if this is normal and when will these effects leave me? also, how long will it take for the cannabis to fully leave my system? all info is appreciated?

A. It never ceases to amaze me, the lack of education people in the US now have.. you cannot get physically addicted to marijuana, it is not an addictive substance.. if you think you are addicted it's just mental addiction, you fooled yourself into thinking that.. because you can't get addicted to marijuana, there is no possible way you can have a withdrawal from it, unless your herb was laced and you were actually smoking laced stuff for those five years, you are now addicted to that substance and not weed itself..

Cannabis is a genus of flowering plant believed to be indigenous to Central Asia, China, and the north-west Himalayas. The common name for Cannabis is hemp, although this term is sometimes used to refer only to strains cultivated for "industrial" (non-drug) use. Cannabis plants produce a unique family of compounds called cannabinoids, several of which produce mental and/or physiological effects when consumed. The drug usually comes in the form of dried flowers and leaves (marijuana), resin (hashish), or various extracts. The cultivation or possession of Cannabis for drug purposes is outlawed in most countries. In Australia each state has different rules for the amount of marijuana you can possess before facing criminal charges.

Some assert his interest in separating the male and female plants is an indication that he may have used Indian hemp medicinally to treat his chronic tooth aches. Others note that fiber of the male and female hemp plants have a different optimum harvest times.
